DPT Physical Therapy & Performance

DPT Physical Therapy & Performance Physical Therapy Group providing PT to Stephenville, Glen Rose, Lubbock, Comanche & Mineral Wells, TX

Trey Taylor is Vice President and a founding partner of DPT Physical Therapy & Performance. Born and raised in Stephenville, graduated from Stephenville High School in 2008. He stayed local to attend Tarleton State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2012. Has attended the University of North Texas Health Science Center where he earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy

degree in 2015. Over the course of his physical therapy education, Trey trained under board certified orthopedic clinical specialists Drs. Darin Deaton and Tina Neuwirth, as well as board certified neurologic clinical specialist Dr. Linda Csiza. During that time, he gained valuable experience in general outpatient orthopedics, pain management, post-surgical rehab, as well as neurologic/stroke, and vestibular rehabilitation. Trey is certified in dry needling through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy Dry Needling Institute and is currently pursuing a specialty in clinical orthopedics. Trey chose physical therapy because of his passion for working with and helping people. Everyone has a story to tell and through which there is much to learn. He most values the patient-therapist relationship, and prides himself in providing high quality, compassionate care. Physical therapy and rehabilitation are not centered around the physical impairment, but rather the person, their experiences and livelihood. The art of physical therapy is truly getting to know each person and their individual circumstances in order to create a personalized treatment plan to help them achieve their specific goals. Trey commits to not only listening, but truly hearing your story and working alongside you to obtain your highest functional capabilities. Trey’s professional interests include sports rehab, orthopedic manual therapy, dry needling, pain management, vestibular and balance therapy including vertigo treatments, as well as strength and conditioning. He is blessed to share life with his wife, Shelby Taylor, and their three kids Dru, Peyton and Jase.

Happy birthday to the one and only Dr. Trey! Your commitment to excellence and the way you show up for both patients and staff does not go unnoticed.

And while we celebrate, we also say goodbye to DPT Student Dr. Faith as she completes her clinical rotation with us. She has made a lasting impact in her time here, and we are so proud of all the progress she has made.

Grateful for a team that continues to grow, support one another, and show up every day πŸ’™

That sharp heel pain with your first steps in the morning is not something to ignore πŸ‘£

Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel pain. It happens when the thick band of tissue along the bottom of your foot gets irritated from repeated stress. This tissue supports your arch and helps absorb force every time you walk or run, so when it becomes overloaded, pain starts to show up 🦴

Most people feel it near the heel, especially after getting out of bed or after sitting for a while. It may loosen up as you move, but can return after long days on your feet or increased activity.
Common contributors include sudden increases in activity, standing for long periods, wearing unsupportive shoes, or tight calf muscles. All of these can place extra strain on the foot over time.

The good news is that most cases respond really well to conservative care πŸ’™ Stretching, strengthening, better footwear, and guided physical therapy can help reduce pain and address the root cause so you can move comfortably again πŸ’ͺ If this sounds like what you are dealing with, our team is here to help you take that first step toward relief.

Sometimes relief starts with something simple πŸ‘£

Cayla is demonstrating a quick foot massage technique to help reduce tension through the plantar fascia and get you moving more comfortably πŸ’ͺ Give it a try and see how your feet respond, and if you need more guidance, we are here to help πŸ’™

At our Comanche clinic, Dr. Sidney is dedicated to helping people take back control of their movement and their lives. No two patients are the same, and neither are the plans she builds. Every visit is centered around understanding the individual, their goals, and what truly matters to them. πŸ’™

She has a strong passion for working with patients navigating Parkinson’s and recovering from stroke, helping them rebuild strength, confidence, and independence step by step. For our blue collar community, she understands the physical demands of the job and focuses on getting patients back to work safely and efficiently. And for runners, she works to keep them moving at their best while preventing setbacks that can slow them down. πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

No matter the starting point, Dr. Sidney is committed to guiding each patient through every phase of recovery with intention and care, helping them move forward stronger than before. πŸ’ͺ
