BOMA/Detroit provides commercial real estate professionals with the opportunity to work together for professional growth, corporate profit, and the benefit of the communities we serve. Real Estate Professionals (Principal) Members are building owners, managers, asset managers, facility managers, leasing professionals, and medical office building professionals. Allied Professional (Supplier) Members furnish services or supplies to the office building industry. And Additional Members are second or more members from the same member firm in good standing. We are an active association that fully embraces the concept of volunteerism. Thanks to our member involvement, we have become the preeminent source of information and networking for this region's commercial real estate industry. This has contributed immensely to our continued success and has allowed our membership to grow annually for the last decade. BOMA/Metro Detroit offers its members unsurpassed networking and educational opportunities, marketplace research data, advance information about industry changes, and access to "how-to" guidebooks and information-packed publications. As a BOMA member, you add to the collective ability to influence public policy decisions on the range of issues that affect the office building industry. THANK YOU FOR YOUR STUFFED ANIMAL DONATIONS!

Rick and Rachel recently delivered all of the stuffed animal donations to Corewell Health Children’s to help bring comfort and joy to sick and injured children during the holiday season. Thanks to the generosity of our BOMA Metro Detroit members and the Building Owners and Managers Foundation, these donations will help brighten hospital rooms and bring smiles to children when they need it most. We are incredibly grateful to our membership for coming together to make a meaningful difference! Your kindness truly made this season a little brighter for these families. Check out all of the photos below that were captured from the donations!

Here is a note from the hospital: Hi Sara. we found that huge bear at home. A cute little five-year-old girl on the pediatric unit wanted it and loves it. Please let that donor know that they made this sweet patients day. Thank you again for thinking of us. We are so grateful.

TOBY Leadership Winner! Congratulations to Jordan Valasek for winning in the Principle Member of the Year category!

With over 13 years of experience in Facilities and Property Management, Jordan oversees the maintenance and operations of 148 active properties across the United States. Beginning his career in Facilities Management in 2012 and transitioning to Property Management in 2020, Jordan has developed expertise in lease auditing, property inspections, and compliance with building codes and occupancy requirements. He also leads new site development initiatives, working closely with city officials to ensure regulatory adherence while meeting budget and facility standards.
In addition to his property management responsibilities, Jordan oversees Farbman Group’s HVAC division, APEX Mechanical, ensuring efficient heating, ventilation, and air conditioning services across the portfolio.
A strong advocate of servant leadership, Jordan focuses on empowering teams, fostering collaboration, and driving operational excellence. He holds a Michigan real estate license and is an active member of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA).
