Since joining us, she has been a wonderful addition to our MediLodge family — bringing dedication, compassion, and a true passion for improving the lives of our residents. 💚

This past Friday, our Activities and Therapy team organized a refreshing nature hike along one of our beautiful local trails! We brought as many residents as we could fit on the bus for some exercise, fresh air, and a bit of fall adventure. Congratulations to Virginia Zygiel, our October Resident of the Month!

We are honored to recognize Virginia Zygiel as our October Resident of the Month. Born in Standish, Michigan, Virginia was raised in a close-knit community where family, faith, and small-town values shaped the remarkable woman she is today.

On February 23, 1952, she married the love of her life, Tony. Together, they shared 61 beautiful years of love, laughter, and unwavering partnership before his passing in 2013 at Medilodge of Sterling. Their legacy lives on through their two children, many grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren, who continue to bring joy to her life.

Virginia’s dedication to others has always been evident. In 1998, her strong sense of civic duty led her to be elected to the Arenac County Board of Commissioners, where she served with integrity and made a lasting impact on her community.

Today, Virginia continues to inspire everyone around her with her kindness, wisdom, and quiet strength. Her warm smile, generous heart, and uplifting spirit make her a cherished member of our Medilodge family.

Virginia, we celebrate you—not just for all you have accomplished, but for the incredible person you are. Thank you for enriching our lives with your presence.
