It is with great sadness that I am having to announce that New Pathways to Wellness and Recovery Counseling Center is closing as a treatment center. We provided full substance treatment and wrap around services and loved providing an atmosphere that assisted those walking through our doors feel welcome and comfortable sharing their life experiences with us. Due to the ongoing difficulties with staff retention due to financial constraints, government funding, and Medicaid cutbacks it has become increasingly difficult to maintain.

I am extremely grateful for the over 1,300 community members that our various team members helped over the last 6 years. I am grateful to each individual that have been providers with New Pathways, because each of you assisted in making it a positive environment for change with your compassion for helping others.

New Pathways will continue but under myself only, Michelle McCauley, MS, LPC. My new office is located at 214 S. 3rd St. G3 Sterling Co. I will provide individual mental health individual therapy and group options such as Dialectical behavior therapy. I specialize in working with dual diagnosis, bi-polar disorder, depression, and anxiety individuals. I possess a decade of professional experience in the field of community mental health and private practice. I work with parole, probation, and Department of Human Services. I am able to take Medicaid, several private insurances, and private pay with a sliding fee scale.

What's hard is some people don't even purposefully know they are doing it .... it's how they have learned to adapt to their own trauma. It sucks but you have to keep yourself healthy whether this type of individual does this purposefully or not. Empaths with their own trauma are the most suseptible to staying in these types of interactions.

We had our 5th annual New Pathways Open House Xmas Party and what a great turnout! Thank you to all who came to end another year of great service in our comunity and look forward to many more! We truly love what we do!
