Today we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
His work reminds us that justice, dignity, and compassion are essential to mental well-being. A healthier society begins when everyone feels seen, valued, and supported.

We’re so grateful to be included in this impactful round of funding through the Basic Needs Giving Partnership. This grant will help strengthen our ability to create more coordinated and equitable systems of care in Waupaca County by bringing key partners together across healthcare, schools, and community organizations.

Through collaborative planning, we aim to better align resources, reduce service gaps, and address underlying factors that contribute to mental health and substance use challenges in our community. Ultimately, this funding supports our commitment to improving access to care, fostering partnerships, and promoting long-term, sustainable mental wellness for individuals and families. 💙

The Basic Needs Giving Partnership recently announced its final two rounds of grants for 2025 totaling $1.7 million! This brings total 2025 grantmaking to $4.8 million with the previous multi-year and first round of technical assistance grants!🎉

Funding is generated by the annual U.S. Venture Open, the nation’s single largest one-day charitable event dedicated to ending poverty. The 2025 event raised $5.2 million for the Basic Needs Giving Partnership and 100% of every dollar donated goes to end poverty. In the 40-year history of the U.S. Venture Open, $63 million has been granted to regional nonprofits.

Thank you to our partners including J. J. Keller Foundation, Oshkosh Corporation, Thedacare, & Thrivent for helping lead this effort!
