This week's episode of Into The Music features Green Bay musician and cajun chef Ace Champion. Ace is a player of ancient music and he has a collection of over sixty different ancient flutes (ancient in design, that is) that he creates his music with. Add to that various ancient percussive elements and the use of his voice and you really have something quite unique. He often combines his music and his chef skills for personalized experiences you’d hard pressed to find anywhere else. Check it out Wednesday!

ATTENTION!
Usually in this spot I ask for your support for Into The Music. Again this week I'm asking you to support Rebound Internet Radio with a simple one time $5.00 donation to help Al Lockwood acquire quality gear to keep the station alive and thriving. The goal of this Go Fund Me campaign is $3,000. Just give up one beer or one coffee this week and together we can make this happen!

If you're an in-ear monitor user, you need to know these few things:

Always Wear Both - This is because of Binaural Summation. The brain perceives the sound to be 6-9 dB louder (that's tripling the intensity of sound) when both IEMs are in the ears. If you pop one out, both ears are at risk for hearing damage.

Custom Silicone - Whether it is a custom silicone IEM or custom silicone sleeve, research has shown that silicone material (compared to acrylic) provides a better seal, allowing the IEM to stay in properly while singing, talking, head-banging, and more!

NOT Hearing Protection - Although they go in the ears, IEMs can be thought of as earbuds. You can crank them as loud as you want, which means loud sound directly into the ear canals which can damage your hearing.

Use a Case - Don't lose them or you'll have to buy another pair!

Get your Hearing Tested - Every musician and person in the music industry should get their hearing tested at least once a year to make sure hearing is stabilized and safe from

Since 1988 hearing protection has been available for musicians and those in the performing arts (Killion, et al., 1988). Prior to that, only polymeric foam, or foam-like “industrial strength” hearing protectors were available. There were two innovations in 1988 that made them appropriate for tho...

The biography on Allen Coté's website reads, "Allen Coté is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, multimedia artist, divemaster and ship captain, originally from Austin, TX and currently based in Milwaukee and Door County, WI. Coté is proficient in guitar, lap steel, bass, ukulele, mandolin, and many others; and received the Wisconsin Area Music Industry's 2011 'Specialty Instrumentalist of the Year' award." Add to that he's an extremely talented songwriter who, similar to a painter, mixes and matches various textures, genres, and arrangements into some fascinating original music. The best way to describe Allen's recorded output is it's a sonic cornucopia. Get a taste of it on this episode of Into The Music!

NEW EPISODE! https://www.buzzsprout.com/2128759/episodes/18778204

Jake Gill is a country artist not to be ignored. His love of country music came by way of working on his grandfather's farm where he heard it on the radio. He heard all the "olds," but then Garth Brooks came along to change the game and it became something Jake needed to dive into. After fifteen years in his own chiropractic practice, he found himself on NBC's The Voice with Blake Shelton as his mentor and made his way into the finals. He released his first album in 2012 and has kept the music coming ever since. Not only does he love music, he loves his fellow man and his desire to help people—especially veterans—is extraordinary. He's an artist with a lot of heart and ton of music and love in that heart.
