Mindful Monday
Mindfulness is a way to help people focus on the present without distraction or judgement.
Some studies show that mindfulness may help reduce burnout, improve wellbeing, and enhance productivity.
Read the full study here.
HealthylIfe.com/au Board Member Dr. Moira Junge says if you want to start Mindfulness Monday in your work area, keep it simple:

- meet in an outside space for Monday meetings and try to include movement
- if you can, create a dedicated space that incorporates elements of nature, essential oils, natural materials and water sounds
- try a group meditation
- have a mindful eating lunch hour as a group, without devices

Contact Employee Wellness for more ideas or assistance on creating a mindfulness program in your department.

Welcome Back to Spring Semester 2026!
Our schedules may be heating up with first week of school but the weather is turning frigid!
Take care of your health with these tips from the National Weather Service.

When you are outside, frostbite and hypothermia are possible so you need to protect yourself.
1. Wear layers of loose-fitting, lightweight, warm clothing.
2. Wear a hat. Try to stay dry and out of the wind.
3. Cover your mouth to protect your lungs from extreme cold.
4. Mittens, snug at the wrist, are better than gloves.
