There are a variety of wrist injuries that can occur from a traumatic fall on an outstretched hand. These injuries are termed FOOSH (fall on an outstretched hand) injuries. Probably the most well-known FOOSH is a distal radius fracture, which is identified and treated first by a physician.

As a health care professional, you may be seeing an increase in referrals for wrist pain from falls, now may be a good time to review the clinical signs used to find other FOOSH injuries.

It's a throwback to warmer weather! The 3-Point team, along with husbands, wives, and children, enjoyed a winning night at the Chesapeake Baysox Double-A baseball stadium in Bowie, Maryland.

This annual 3-Point event is enjoyed by all, especially those who enjoyed their double-dip ice cream cones.

The 3-Point team not only watched the Baysox win 5 to 3 over the Richmond Flying Squirrels, but we were also rewarded with a fantastic fireworks display. What a great way to celebrate the Baysox win and the 3-Point team.

Last week, the 3-Point team participated in the Maryland Food Bank telethon by manning the phones and sending out hundreds of personalized thank you cards to donors. Donations reached $650,000 this year, blowing last year's $500,000 out of the park.

Congratulations to the Marylanders who stepped up to give the MFB a great end to the year with enough to boost what they can do as the new year starts. Given the SNAP shut down, the need for food for the pantries, churches and schools was greater than ever.

The need for funds is ongoing and 3-Point Products will continue to support MFB until there is no longer food insecurity. We all hope that day will come sooner than later.

Our Story

Founder Julie Belkin, an occupational therapist and orthotist (brace maker) established 3-Point Products in 1997. Her goal was to design and manufacture premium, medical grade orthopedic splints that offered a comfortable and affordable solution to patients rehabilitating from injuries and chronic health conditions.

To provide clinically designed splints and braces that are functional, affordable and easy to size and fit.
