We can learn a great deal from watching a tree awaken in the spring. There isn't a rush to get something accomplished. Its leaves unfurl, reaching toward the ever-growing warmth of the sun, finally blossoming when the time is right. Spiritual practice is like this too. If we allow ourselves to release our expectations about needing to do things right and in a certain way, then the process will naturally unfold beautifully. We can learn a great deal from watching a tree awaken in the spring. There isn't a rush to get something accomplished. We learn to slow down, to stop, and to be still so that, in the deep silence of our spiritual practice, we heal.
