April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness and support those living with Parkinson’s disease.
Parkinson’s can significantly impact speech, voice, and swallowing. Individuals may experience a softer voice, reduced clarity of speech, and difficulty swallowing, which can affect communication, nutrition, and overall quality of life.
Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) play a key role in addressing these challenges. At our clinic, we provide specialized therapy to improve voice strength, speech clarity, and safe swallowing.
We’re proud to have three SLPs trained in SPEAK OUT!® therapy, a research-based program designed specifically to help individuals with Parkinson’s regain and maintain effective communication.
If you or a loved one are experiencing changes in speech, voice, or swallowing, early intervention can make a meaningful difference.
This month, we stand with those impacted and their families—raising awareness, supporting communication, and promoting quality of life. 💙
