There is a unique comfort in being understood, especially by someone who has walked a similar path. Stillwater Medical at Home is honored to offer a hospice volunteer program that connects veterans with veterans. We are currently seeking veteran volunteers to assist with administrative support or spend time visiting with veterans in hospice care. If you feel called to serve again in a meaningful way, we would love to talk to you.

At Karman Legacy Hospice we develop our care uniquely for each patient and family. We consider it a privilege to be invited into the sacred space of their dying time. It is our desire to ease suffering, physically, emotionally, and spiritually; in ways that are meaningful for each patient. Recently, our patient Ronald Compton expressed his desire to be baptized by our Spiritual Care Coordinator Justin Beadles. It was our joy to gather Mr. Compton’s family to provide this unique spiritual ritual. “I was baptized when I was 3 years old, before I really understood what it meant,” Mr. Compton expressed through tears. “But it was always a lifelong dream to experience it again, as an adult.” 🤍✨
