“Healthy Yard Work Tips
(AKA: Save Your Body While You Garden!)”
Yard work can feel amazing… until your back, neck, or knees start complaining 😅
Here are a few simple ways to keep your body happy while you work:
1️⃣ Take breaks
Break projects into smaller chunks so you’re not overdoing it all at once. Yard work should feel good—not exhausting. This also helps prevent repetitive strain injuries.
2️⃣ “Use your legs”
Bend through your hips and knees instead of pulling from your low back. This protects your spine and keeps tension out of your neck and shoulders.
3️⃣ Support your body
Use a small stool, chair, or kneeling pad to reduce strain on your knees and improve your posture while working low to the ground.
