We had a total blast at the Chamber Gala last Friday! THANK YOU so much for nominating us for “best small business of the year,” we are truly honored! Being recognized among so many amazing local businesses truly means so much to us.
Here’s some of our “story…” From Dr. Ashley:
“In 2017 I made a huge decision to quit my salaried and benefited position as a Doctor of Physical therapy to go out on my own in private practice, with zero promise that it would work out… in fact, many people said that’s a risky move and they did not recommend it…. My Dad Len, who is unfortunately no longer with us, told me some sound advice. He said “JUST GO FOR IT! If it doesn’t work out then you’ll pivot, but if it DOES then you’ll be happy!” And my husband Beau was supportive of my dreams. So, with some fear still in me, a lot of hope (and a flexible plan) I went for it!
In 2021, we rebranded into Align Optimal Wellness and added Pilates. The vision was to have Pilates and PT (and maybe some other offerings) under one roof. We moved into the Isaac Staples building and hoped for the best.
Since then, I’ve learned a ton! There’s been twists and turns, and my business has grown alongside my amazing daughter Brooke (who just turned four years old). I’m happy to say, they are both flourishing! Thank you to Brooke for her patience with Mama, building her dream.
I’ve been fortunate to find the most amazing team of individuals who are on the same mission to help people in our fantastic community live their lives with health and happiness. I could NOT have done this alone! I want to thank my team: Margie Schmid, Emily Easton, Annie Foster, Angie Halama, Katelyn Hart, Dawn Bennett, Meghan Black, Alicia Frederickson, Gina Morelli, Lynn Hasel. We now offer PT, Pilates, yoga, massage therapy, personal training, nutrition and wellness coaching, craniosacral therapy, sound therapy healing, wellness retreats and soon to be acupuncture— all under one roof!
Small business is no walk in the park, but when you follow your dreams and “just go for it”… it is absolutely allllll worth it!” -Ashley LaBore, Owner
