KCDC is ready to get wild and wacky for Read Across America and Dr. Seuss Week!🎩✨

We have a week full of whimsical stories, silly socks, and a whole lot of rhyming ahead. It’s the perfect time to celebrate the magic of reading and our favorite storyteller, Dr. Seuss!

Below is our daily dress up themes and information on our Family Literacy Night. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

KCDC Families,

Due to the forecasted inclement weather and to ensure the safety of our families and staff, KCDC will be closing at 1:00 PM tomorrow, January 23, 2026.

Please make arrangements to pick your child up by 12:00 PM. We want to ensure everyone has ample time to travel safely before conditions worsen.

-* Please be mindful that this plan may change if Stilwell Public Schools release or close early, as weather conditions continue to shift. If Stilwell Public Schools are closed, KCDC will be closed.

-* Late pick-up fees will apply per our handbook policy: $10 for every 5 minutes past 12:00 PM.

We will continue to monitor the weather closely. All future updates regarding delays or further closures will be posted here on our page and through the Child Pilot parent app. Closures can also be found on the KOTV Channel 6 News.
