Take a moment to rededicate your light 🕯️✨

Cantor Lizzie Shammash and Rabbi Claudia Kreiman’s weekend program, “Rededicating Your Light” from Dec. 4 to 7, draws upon the Jewish and spiritual practices of mindfulness, prayer, chant, and study to hold the pose of Shabbat.

Step away from the noise and come home to yourself through rest and reflection, while carrying and learning the wisdom traditions in winter rituals.

Reconnect to what truly matters and open to the love inside of you 🧡 link below to learn more about the program.

For the second year in a row, Kripalu is pleased to offer the hybrid Global Majority 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training (GMYTT) from February 27–June 5, 2026, specifically dedicated to preparing members of the Global Majority to become Kripalu Yoga teachers.

Through this training, we cultivate a diverse environment where BIPOC practitioners learn from BIPOC Kripalu faculty and are able to immerse themselves in an experience that is true and authentic to them at the deepest level.

We can’t say it any better than the incredible veterans themselves.

Shout out to our amazing Kripalu School of Yoga alum and 2025 Jonathan P. Schwartz Teaching for Diversity Grant Awardee Lisa Jakub .jakub for the powerful work she leads for veterans at Kripalu through her organization Mission Flexible .

Says Lisa, “Veterans have been othered in our culture. Most wouldn’t feel comfortable walking into a yoga studio. We create the space they deserve—where they can learn to manage hypervigilance, flashbacks, and grief through breath, movement, and storytelling.”

We are so grateful for the opportunity to be of service to our veterans. 💚

As we sit with the reality of our world, we want you to also remember love, to remember peace, to remember hope.

“How are we to move in these times of uncertainty, of mystery? What will we choose to create together? What many are experiencing is an increase in stress, in fear, in hopelessness. The path of yoga is not to dismiss any of this but to be with what is. To be with our fear, our uncertainty, our stress. The path of yoga is also an invitation to choose how we relate and respond to our experiences. The path of yoga is to notice our fear and our courage together, to notice our fear and be curious about fearlessness, to be with our uncertainty and notice how that emptiness holds all possibility.” ~ quote and video clip, our CEO Robert Mulhall

It is within this possibility that hope resides. At Kripalu, we move with our ability to inspire a brighter tomorrow and engage with each other in this spirit. We stay open to what is possible.

Kripalu has been sharing this simple yet profound way of living for over 50 years.

Holding onto hope matters, donate today.

Nature connection practices can be a very powerful way to stir and open the heart. 🫶🏼

Here, Director of Kripalu’s School of Mindful Outdoor Leadership Micah Mortali shares one of his favorite practices for fostering a heart connection between our inner world and the natural world around us: Breathing with the Earth.

This is a very simple breath that helps us feel our bodies and reach out with our senses to feel the land and the more than human world around us.

Give it a try and let us know what you notice!

A huge thank you to the Yawkey Foundation for their generous $25,000 grant, from which we were able to bring our RISE program to not just the staff but also the youth of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Roxbury and South Boston . Through this gift, Kripalu can continue to work hard and open doors for hundreds of people to gain access to opportunities for growth and healing.

This support has allowed us to carry our mission beyond just the walls of our campus. We brought practices of simple yoga and mindfulness to students, and they learned tools to reduce stress, build resilience, and find a sense of calm that they can into everyday life.

“Bringing yoga to young people is about so much more than teaching poses. Thanks to Sam, our members learned they can find calm in the chaos, strength in stillness, and confidence through breath and movement. Watching them roll out their mats and step into their practice—some for the first time—reminds me why this work matters. They deserve to know that yoga is their space too.” ~ Ariabel Adames, Teen Program Manager at B&G Club

We are so grateful to be able to carry out these practices of wellbeing with the next generation and could not have done it without the support of the Yawkey Foundation. Big LOVE to them and the youth who participated in these workshops! Here’s to more lifechanging work 🧡

Let yourself be held.

As the seasons shift and the world grows quiet, nature reminds us to slow down, to release, and to return to what nourishes us. Autumn invites us to let go while winter asks us to rest deeply. A guided retreat at Kripalu is a way to honor both.

Here, Erin Casperson, Lead Kripalu Faculty and the director of the Kripalu School of Ayurveda, invites you to be supported, to be held by wise teachers, nourishing meals, and the stillness of this sacred land.

No need to plan or push. Just arrive and allow your inner wisdom to guide you back to center.

In every season, but especially now, let Kripalu hold you in the warmth of community and the quiet of transformation. It’s time to remember what wholeness feels like.
