A message from one of our founders.
“It’s been about two weeks since I lost my dad, and I’ve spent a lot of that time reflecting on the things he taught me.
My dad always encouraged me to pursue my education and actually use what I learned. He believed in making your own path, working hard, and building something for yourself. And of course, he would remind me to “make some money” along the way.
But one thing he told me over and over was that I could do anything I put my mind to.
When I finally had t-shirts made for my business, he was so excited to wear one. I wish I had taken a picture of that moment, but I’ll never forget how proud he was.
Those words and moments shaped so many of the decisions I’ve made in life—including having the courage to start my own business.
The day we took him to the cemetery was beautiful. As we entered the city of Canton, the sun came out and the ride there felt peaceful. There were escorts along the way, and as we entered they were saluting. The ride up was beautiful—it almost felt like heaven had opened for him. Seeing him honored with military honors was something I will never forget.
Running a business while grieving isn’t easy. Some days are heavier than others. But I know he would want me to keep going, keep building, and keep believing in what I’m capable of.
So that’s what I’m going to do. One step at a time. I’ll keep going, Dad, carrying your lessons, your pride, and your love with me every step of the way.”
