Physician Assistant Week, celebrated annually from October 6 to October 12, is a time to recognize and honor the vital contributions of physician assistants (PAs) to the healthcare system. These dedicated professionals work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers to deliver quality care, often serving as primary care providers and playing crucial roles in patient management, diagnosis, and treatment. The week serves as an opportunity to raise awareness about the PA profession, highlighting their versatility, extensive medical knowledge, and commitment to patient-centered care. It also encourages appreciation for the critical role PAs play in improving healthcare access and outcomes, particularly in underserved areas. Through events, educational activities, and community outreach, Physician Assistant Week celebrates the achievements and ongoing impact of PAs in enhancing the health and well-being of patients across various medical settings.

As we celebrate PA week, we would like to honor Sabina Lazar. Sabina provides great care for our patients in the Stockbridge and Griffin locations. She is a strong believer of patient education and seeks to help her patients better understand their chronic pain and treatment options. In her leisure time, she enjoys listening to music, cooking, and spending time with her three children. We appreciate Sabina and the thoughtful care she gives to our patients.
