December 10 - VMRC participated in the 94th Annual Capitol Tree Lighting event. All 21 Regional Centers decorated their own tree, each one uniquely representing their communities. Valley Mountain’s tree was filled with handmade ornaments created by individuals served, highlighting their employment dreams and goals, along with staff made VMRC ornaments that added a special touch.
We enjoyed a guided tour of the Capitol rotunda, with fellow regional center staff and people served. The evening concluded with the tree lighting ceremony, a festive and inspiring moment that brought everyone together in celebration of community, creativity, and the holiday spirit.🎄☃️🙏🏾
