This last week of Breast Cancer Awareness Month we are Celebrating the Strength of MedCura Health’s own, Operations Team member, Osiris Poole.

At just 39, Osiris Poole faced her first cancer diagnosis—breast cancer in 2018, followed by colon cancer in 2023. Despite the challenges of balancing treatment and work, Osiris remained steadfast, drawing strength from her children, family, friends, coworkers, and most importantly, her faith in God.

Today, she continues to give back by supporting others on similar journeys and participating in awareness walks. Her message to others facing breast cancer is one of hope and faith: “You are not alone. Trust in your faith—this is not the end. You got this.”

This October, we’re honoring the strength of breast cancer survivors and spreading the message about early detection.

💗 Why it matters: Regular breast cancer screenings can find cancer early—when it’s easiest to treat.
📅 Recommendation: Women ages 40–74 at average risk should get a mammogram every two years (CDC).
👩‍⚕️ Pay attention: If you notice any changes in your breasts, such as lumps, swelling, or skin changes, seek medical advice right away.
💬 Talk with your healthcare provider about the best screening plan for you.
