My Daughter Gave Me This Bowl for Christmas. It Taught Me Everything About Cravings.

Ice cream. That was my thing. Still is, honestly—but now I actually have a strategy instead of just depending on willpower that eventually breaks.

My daughter gave me this bowl for Christmas, and it became the perfect visual reminder: the before (full) and after (empty) isn't just about ice cream. It's about understanding cravings instead of fighting them.

Here's what actually works:
Don't eliminate—substitute. I switched to frozen Greek yogurt or protein ice cream. Same satisfaction, way more protein. Your brain gets the cold, creamy texture it's craving.

Timing matters. I eat ice cream after a solid meal with protein and fat. Your blood sugar stays stable, and the craving hits different when you're not running on empty.

The portion hack. Smaller bowl, smaller spoon. Sounds silly, but it slows you down. You actually taste it instead of just demolishing it.

Address the real craving. Sometimes it's not about food—it's stress, boredom, or habit. I started asking: "Am I actually hungry, or am I avoiding something?" That question changed everything.

Mine is simple—and it’s in the clip: finish your set, wipe the bench.
Nobody wants to lay down and get baptized by a stranger’s effort.

Here’s why it matters: clean equipment keeps the gym feeling good, keeps people healthier, and honestly… it’s just basic respect.

My rule: if you sat on it or laid on it, wipe it. If you’re not sure, wipe it anyway.
