A cherished friend has returned to the Hudson Valley after some time away and I played enthusiastic re-acclimation tour guide in New Paltz — during which I was yet again reminded that I am incapable of walking out of without a purchase. 🤩🤣

Also, it’s super fun to view our familiar places through someone else’s eyes. It helps keep me grounded in how much I love it here. Highly recommend!

One thing I’ve found is a daily workout goal doesn’t…workout…for me. (🙄😂) It’s too easy to get into “all or nothing” thinking, my schedule has some irregularity to it, and rigidity is antithetical to the Aquarian in me.

Instead I have a weekly movement goal (currently 4hrs per week) that allows me to meet myself where I’m at. It also means that sometimes it’s a lifting session at the gym…and other days it’s a glorious walk under the wintery sun.
