We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Lauren Anderson, DMD to our team as our newest oral surgeon! 🦷✨

She earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, where she cultivated a deep understanding of dental and medical sciences. Following her dental education, Dr. Anderson completed a General Practice Residency at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center followed by an Advanced Clinical Simulation Fellowship at the same institution, where she further honed her clinical expertise. She completed her training at Boston University School of Dental Medicine as Chief Resident in her OMFS residency program.

Dr. Anderson’s surgical training focused heavily on dental implants and bone grafting, corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma, TMJ
disorders, benign cysts and tumors of the jaw, and the delivery of safe office based IV sedation. She loves utilizing his training and skill-set to improve patients’ lives through compassionate and
attentive care-perfectly aligning with our mission of excellence and compassion in oral surgery.

We can’t wait for you to meet her!

Merrimack Valley Oral Surgeons would like to welcome our newest surgeon, Ryan D. Forney, DMD, MD. Dr. Forney grew up in the San Fernando Valley of California and graduated from Chatsworth High School. He attended UC Santa Barbara where he received his degree in Pharmacology. After undergrad, he decided to trade in the west coast and sun for the cold and completed his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. After Dental School, Ryan enrolled in a 6-year dual degree OMFS program at Rutgers University in New Jersey. During his 6-year program, he also received his Medical degree from New Jersey Medical School. After completing his training, he has been working in a private practice oral surgery office in Santa Barbara.

He has now returned to Massachusetts and joined Merrimack Valley Oral Surgeons to serve the surrounding communities. Dr. Forney has a particular interest in dentoalveolar surgery, bone grafting and augmentation as well as dental implants. He also has extensive training in the treatment of TMJ, pathology, sleep apnea and full mouth reconstructive surgery. Dr. Forney has also received additional training while volunteering with Smile Bangladesh, an organization which provides cleft lip and palate surgery to children in need in the cities of Dhaka and Khulna. Beyond his education, he has been a presenter at the New Jersey Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons demonstrating the use of alloplastic joints and nerve grafting for facial reconstruction.

In his free time, loves spending time with his wife, Kimberly, and their two children. He enjoys the outdoors, surfing, and weight training.
