Second Christmas without our guy and we’re all missing him more than words. Time never erases the amount of grief that’s felt during the holiday season, it just gets better to manage. Today was our guys 39th birthday. 🤍 His second birthday up in heaven with the angels. We all love you and miss you even more. The absence of your presence is felt heavily. On days like today is when I love to look back and remember all the good memories you made before God took you home. You lived one hell of a life daddy. Impacted so many people. One of Gods greatest soldiers. Like always, keep flying high and we will see you when we see you. 🪽

Just a small post for our guy. We miss you more than words daddy. I always look for small things throughout my day that just remind me of you. Everyone says you’re in a better place, but sometimes, I just want to be selfish and have you here with us again. The missing you is just so heavy. We love you always and forever. You’re LEGACY didn’t end with you, we just picked it up and are keeping it going. See you when I see you. ❤️

I know it’s past Father’s day but he deserves every post even if it is late. This was our second father’s day without him. It doesn’t get any easier or better, we just hold onto to the fact you’re at peace and no longer hurting. It hurts to see everyone else with their dads, knowing ours was taken way too soon before we could even grow up. He left the best pieces of him, us. Gosh, I miss you daddy. Your babygirl misses you that it physically hurts some days. The boys miss you. Everyone just misses you. Keep flying high for us, we will see you when we see you. I love you forever and always. My fighter. My guy. The best damn man God gave us. ❤️

Three years. Three years since God made a powerful example out of our family. Three years since we went through the toughest storm imaginable. April 19th, 2022, who knew Adam would leave home and not return. Going through amputations, infections, and countless skin graft surgeries. He was our fighter. He still is and we still fight for him and his story. This accident may have ended in a circumstance we did not want, but it taught us how to have faith stronger than your fear. That God really is that stronghold in the storm. Adam knew where he was going, he knew he was saved. God held us in his precious hands and made him whole once again. Adam took this accident with full force and fought back with dignity and grace. He deserved more to this life but we know he’s flying high above watching over. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7 I love you forever and always, we miss you daddy 💙

Easter Easter Easter! We all decorated a little for our guy! We miss him more than anyone could comprehend. Still trying to figure out life without you is one of the toughest things. We love you to heaven and back. Saturday, the 19th, will be three years since his accident. Reminder to never take anything for granted, be appreciative everyday, and know that making it back home is such a blessing we have to take in.
So grateful I took this picture when I did with us on facetime, that little smirk will forever stick with me. - Bug❤️

33 days into the new year 2024 we brought the strongest person who fought for life over 2 1/2 years home to be with family. 5 days home surrounded by family and friends Adam Purland took his last breathe on earth at 2:05. He was no longer hurting. In pain. Miserable. Hating the way things would turn out. Worrying about me and the kids and if we would be ok. I know he WALKED Into the gates of heaven 100% himself. No burns or amputations. Fully healed. With peace.

365 days here we are celebrating and dreading his being gone. 365 days of not being able to watch his kids accomplish so many things. Life has been hard this past year. It has made you learn some things about yourself and others. Truly tried to break you and kill you. Literally. Taught you to open your heart and let someone in. ( I honestly and whole heartily believe deep down he let me know I was ready) and if you have never felt the pain of losing someone and your heart close and reopen to love. It’s a painful but magical feeling.
365 days we’ve had to talk to you at a cemetery. Decorating for every holiday. Asking you to watch over us and give us a sign. We miss you more than ever. We miss your smile. Your laugh. We find peace knowing you’re watching over us. Our own angel. We love you always and forever.

We will never stop awareness for burn victims, but you are no victim. You are a survivor! ❤️
