Thank you so much to all of the disabled people who have “gotten political.“

Image description: white text on purple background that reads, “If disabled people didn’t “get political,” we would not be able to attend school with our peers.

If disabled people didn’t “get political,” we would still be regularly locked away in institutions.

If disabled people didn’t “get political,” we could be discriminated against in the workplace without any repercussions.

Disabled people do not have the privilege of not getting involved because, otherwise, we would be forgotten.”

I feel so fortunate to live in such a wonderful community filled with so many incredible, kind, creative, caring, loving people! And I love each and every one of you.

I wasn't born here in Stonington, or even in Connecticut. But I moved here about 15 years ago, and I'm so deeply delighted to get to choose to call this place home every single day.

Happy Valentine's Day, neighbors! I love ya 😘

This weekend is all about love! And the very best kind of love is the love of community. So please join me and Stonington Pride on Sunday at 1pm at Get Fired Up! to make some art and revel in the love and joy of this beautiful comunity!

Please RSVP at https://bit.ly/sp-firedup so we can give them a headcount. But if you see this too late or forget, please come on by anyhow 😉

Everyone is fiscally responsible for their own pieces, but they start at $1 and there's no studio fee, so this will hopefully be very accessible to everyone 😊

Hey friends! I'm so excited to be hosting a meet-and-greet NEXT SATURDAY, Feb 21 for my friend Josh Elliott.

He's a wonderful, progressive human running for Governor of Connecticut, and this is your opportunity to hang out and get to know him, ask your big and small questions, and get a feel for this guy who has been, and will continue to help shape our state into one that cares for all who love here.

The La Grua Center has dedicated parking and is wheelchair accessible. The event is free, donations to Josh's campaign are encouraged. Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.

Please rsvp if you can at JoshForCT.com so I can get a headcount 😁

Every week I try and call my legislators about things that matter to me.

This week I called about opposing the Make Elections Great Again (MEGA) Act. And not just because it's the dumbest name for a piece of legislation you've ever heard.

But rather, because the bill usurps states' constitutional authority to administer elections and imposes needless and expensive voting restrictions, potentially disenfranchising millions in the name of fighting almost non-existent election fraud.

I encourage you to call your legislators to let them know how you feel about this as well. If it feels overwhelming, the free app 5 Calls can really help.

Every week I try and call my legislators about things that matter to me.

This week, I called my federal Senators and Congressman to ask them to oppose ICE's continual attacks on immigrants and citizens alike, and to hold this administration accountable for their unlawful, authoritarian actions.

Specifically, I asked that they:
🧊 demand full investigations into ICE's use of deadly use of force against protesters and their murders of Renee Good, Alex Pretti, and the others whose names haven't made the front pages,
🧊 refuse to pass any DHS appropriations bill that maintains ANY funding for ICE,
🧊 call for/support the impeachment of Kristi Noem as Secretary of Homeland Security. Because obviously.

I encourage you to call your elected officials and tell them how you feel about this issue, as well. If it feels overwhelming, the free app 5 Calls really helps
