This is an important footwork line drill Shifu Justin Guerin teaches in Tai Chi Chuan classes. It comes up repeatedly in the 24 form and practicing it helps isolate those movements from the whole body movements used in complete Tai Chi postures which can be beneficial to learning proper stances and footwork. It shifts between Person Footstep (Ding Bu) to Seven Star Stance (Xiu Li Bu) to Bow Stance (Gong Bu).
