Have you ever noticed how one small thing — like mouth breathing — can set off a chain reactions?

One concept that really stood out from a recent Breath Institute lecture was how interconnected our oral and postural systems truly are. It’s all connected — from tongue posture and breathing to growth and function.

Each compensatory step perpetuates the dysfunction — unless we interrupt it through functional rehabilitation and interdisciplinary care.

"Sphenoid butterfly" refers to the sphenoid bone, a butterfly shaped bone located at the base of the skull. The sphenoid bone is considered the "keystone" of the skull, providing a central foundation and articulation points with multiple other bones, which contributes significantly to the skull's overall rigidity and stability.

So when you come in to see me for CranioSacral Therapy and I mention your sphenoid bone, you’ll know what I’m referring to 😉

The office will be closed from Tuesday September 30 to Tuesday October 7 and will be re-open for normal buisness hours Wednesday October 8. The address of the new location is 6 Highview Ave, Stony Point, NY next to the Chase Bank. Enter through the back. There will be signs in several areas to help find the entrance. Today is definitely bitter sweet as I treat patients for the last time here. This plant was gifted to me by a patient when I first took over this practice in 2019 just before the pandemic when everything was shut down. I didn’t know what was going to happen to this practice or to me, but much like this plant, I pushed through and thrived. I want to say thank you to everyone who has offered help to move and for all the best wishes. See you at the next place 😉
