We’re proud to wear blue and jeans today in support of Dress in Blue Day 💙👖

Our team at BVRMC is raising awareness for colon cancer and the lifesaving impact of early detection. Regular screenings can prevent colorectal cancer or find it early when it’s most treatable.

If you are 45 or older, or have a family history of colorectal cancer, talk to your doctor about scheduling a colonoscopy.

Join us in spreading awareness and encouraging friends and family to take charge of their health.

Help us raise awareness for colon cancer by dressing in blue this Friday! đź’™

Colorectal cancer is one of the most preventable cancers with regular screenings. In fact, 1 in 24 people will be diagnosed in their lifetime. Screening can detect cancer early and even prevent it by removing precancerous polyps.

If you are 45 or older, or have a family history of colorectal cancer, talk to your doctor about when you should schedule a colonoscopy.

BVRMC’s Board of Trustees has approved moving forward with plans to construct a new BVRMC Medical Office Building on the BVRMC campus.

The approximately 30,000 square foot facility will bring together all UnityPoint Clinic Family Medicine providers and BVRMC Pharmacy in one modern, efficient, patient centered environment. The new building will be located north of the current hospital main entrance.

“The Board is committed to looking ahead and preparing for the future of health care in our region,” says Dr. Rick Lampe, Chair of the BVRMC Board of Trustees. “The new medical office building strengthens our campus, supports our providers and ensures that the families of the region will continue to have access to exceptional care close to home.”

The total project cost is approximately $20 million. Groundbreaking will take place in spring 2026. Construction is anticipated to be completed in 2027.
