We’re excited to welcome the Bamboo Express food truck to The Households of Bethany on Wednesday, November 19, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Today we had the honor of celebrating Veterans Day with our residents. 🇺🇸

We held a special pinning ceremony to recognize and thank the veterans who call Bethany Life home. Each pin was a small token of our deep gratitude for their courage, sacrifice, and service to our country.

We were also blessed to hear from two meaningful speakers:

Chad Cook, retired Army National Guard officer, Afghanistan veteran, former Story County Veterans Affairs commissioner, retired teacher, and member of the American Legion, DAV, and Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America.

Thank you to our resident veterans, their families, our staff, and community members who joined us in honoring those who have served. Your presence made this Veterans Day especially meaningful. ❤️🇺🇸

🌟 Sharing God’s Love Through a Warm Meal 🌟

Bethany Life believes no one should go hungry, and in light of recent reductions in SNAP benefits, we are stepping up to support our community. We will be providing a hot, nutritious lunch to anyone in need, no questions asked. Simply ask for a “community special.”

🍽 Lunch is served Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Everyone deserves the comfort of a warm meal and a welcoming place to enjoy it. As Jesus reminds us in Matthew 25:35, “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat.” Together, let us share God’s love through the simple act of kindness and a warm meal shared in fellowship. 💛

A huge thank you to Dentistry of Somerset for being generous enough to provide free dental care to our resident veterans. 🇺🇸🦷

Your kindness, compassion, and genuine care made a real difference in the lives of those who have sacrificed so much for all of us. Our veterans left their appointments not only with healthier smiles, but with hearts full of gratitude.

Thank you, Dentistry of Somerset, for honoring our heroes in such a meaningful way.

🌟 Resident of the Month: Robert! 🌟

We’re excited to celebrate Robert as our Resident of the Month!

Born in Boone, Iowa, and raised on a farm in Story City, Robert grew up with a strong work ethic and a love for the outdoors. After graduating from Job Corps in Nebraska, he originally studied carpentry but found his passion in construction craft labor.

Following graduation, Robert returned home and worked a variety of jobs—spending 8 years in construction and another 6 years doing directional drilling, with plenty of travel along the way. He’s also had his share of odd jobs, always ready for a new challenge.

Outside of work, Robert loves riding his Harley, fishing, and camping—anything that lets him enjoy life and the open road.

Since joining our community in September 2023, Robert has been a wonderful addition! He enjoys playing bingo, joining in on games, and visiting with others. Most of all, he treasures time with his family—playing games together and, of course, enjoying all the tasty treats they bring.

Robert, your friendly smile and easygoing spirit brighten our days. Congratulations on being our Resident of the Month! 🏅💛
