Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our team with our fall fundraising events, Kettle Park was able to present the Alzheimer's Association with a donation today. The Alzheimer's Association leads the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.

We appreciated the visit from the Stoughton American Legion today as they came to our community in honor of Veteran’s Day with a flag ceremony. We are indebted to those who have served our country and thank them for safeguarding the freedoms we cherish.

We were delighted to welcome Hope Schulz, a molecular biologist from Promega, as our guest speaker this week. Hope enabled us to conduct a practical experiment extracting DNA from strawberry cells and imparted her expertise on the relevance of DNA research in multiple areas, such as agriculture and crime investigation. Thank you, Hope, for this entertaining and educational hands-on activity.

We were fortunate to receive a fascinating presentation yesterday from Bob Block, retired forensic scientist at the State of Wisconsin Crime Lab. Bob elaborated on the role of science in analyzing illicit substances and DNA to solve crimes, reflecting on his 34-year tenure.

We are delighted to have had so many new residents join the Kettle Park community in recent weeks! Yesterday, we hosted a new resident root beer float social to serve as a formal introduction to all of our new neighbors.
