Changing Ways Counseling, LLC I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing mental health, trauma therapy & when appropriate addiction treatment.

Changing Ways Counseling, LLC is a private practice that was established in November 2020 by the owner and founder Brooke Vargas, LCSW. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to treat trauma/adverse life experiences and numerous other mental health diagnoses. I have over 15 years of experience working in the human service field including my time as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked in various capacities with numerous populations, such as a residential counselor & job coach for those with developmental disabilities, a victim’s advocate for survivors of domestic violence & sexual assault, a group facilitator for those involved in the criminal justice system who committed domestic violence offenses & as a clinician for those afflicted with severe & persistent mental illness & addiction. I’ve provided outpatient, intensive outpatient program services & assessment & diagnosis.
