Halloween Recap! 🎃🍂

We had such a “spirited” week last week as we celebrated Halloween and all of its tricks and treats. It was great having the YMCA preschoolers dressed in their costume best come out and spread smiles to all of the residents.

Yesterday was a fun day filled with an afternoon adventure of mystery…with the unclaimed treasure still not found…a heck of a mystery that we will continue throughout the week. We enjoyed a full house with our villa owners coming to enjoy our last cookout of the year and had a lot of fun getting our mugshots taken.

We had a wonderful walk-through time on Monday with Dave Reed, from Streatorland’s Historical Society who presented the History of Colonel Ralph Plum and the founding of our township. The residents also enjoyed our hallway exhibits with a sweet treat from the decade.

We had a wonderful time Friday night with Don Joy and Melanie Lynn, who rocked the night away with some good ol’ country, classic oldies, and awesome originals. 🎶

Residents, tenants, and guests enjoyed cherry cokes and root beer floats, along with delicious hors d’oeuvres and homemade cookies. It was truly a pleasure having Don and Melanie take time out of their busy schedules to come out and perform for us. We look forward to seeing you again next year! 🎸✨
