My name is Emily. I have been a registered nurse since 2007. In my early nursing years, I saw an increasing amount of patients who required large doses of medications to manage musculoskeletal and chronic pain. This observation led me to want to explore more holistic ways to improve my own physical and mental health. I discovered that through regular massage sessions the body and the mind would respond and transform. This is what motivated me to name my business Living Lotus Massage Therapy. The lotus flower is a powerful spiritual symbol. The lotus has roots deep in mud and yet, despite its origins, a beautiful flower emerges from the dark, merky water. I keep this concept in mind while practicing massage because I want to improve the overall well-being of my clients.
