Boundless Yoga Studios in Stroudsburg PA is dedicated to safe and accessible yoga classes led by the area's most inspiring and highly qualified yoga educators. Because the legs are doing very different jobs, splits make the side to side differences more obvious. Practice with integrity and patience, they can help to balance out the dominant and non-dominant sides. You may consider backing off of your dominnant side and giving greater attention to your non-dominant side until they become more balanced.

Rest your hamstrings and play on some open heartstrings.
Instead of leaping into a split today, maybe you can take a leap and call an old friend.

This throwback pic was taken in Bali while I was co-leading an acroyoga elemental immersion. There is a special connection with a teaching team and the support we give one another. Angelina (far left) is no longer with us but lives in my heart and this pic reminds me of how precious connection is and why these little leaps of love matter so much. Tell your friends you love them. Make it loud and weird!

Hold 45 Seconds Each Side

Yoga Sutra 1.14 is the foundational verse on consistency over time, stating that practice (abhyāsa) becomes firmly established when sustained over a long period, without interruption, and with dedicated devotion.

I was not born with super open hips, nor was I a flexible youngster. At 53 I feel better in my body than I ever did in my 20's. Change for me did not happern overnight and over the years of my practice I have achieved great results and have had moments due to life or illness that I stepped way back and let some asanas slide by. Nothing is perminanat and anything involving our physical and mental health requires consistent effort. It is the little things we do that become the habots that keep us going.

Do just a little bit, over time, with your whole heart.

May we open up to all of the possibilites.
