Welcome, Erica Hope, to the team at SpeechRx – The Speech, Swallowing & Voice Specialty Center.💙

Erica is a highly skilled voice, swallowing, and airway specialist with advanced experience treating adults with complex medical conditions affecting communication, breathing, and swallowing. She brings particular expertise in aural rehabilitation for adults with cochlear implants and hearing aids, helping patients achieve the best possible outcomes for speech understanding and listening.

Erica earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Florida State University, where she received specialized training through the Hearing Impaired Clinic under the guidance of a Listening and Spoken Language Specialist. After graduation, she completed a clinical rotation with Cleveland Clinic Florida, where she developed strong clinical skills working with medically complex patients.

Erica has extensive training in performing and interpreting Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) and videostroboscopy, enabling advanced visualization of swallowing and voice function to guide precise treatment planning.

Her passion for patient-centered care, combined with her expertise in hearing, voice, swallowing, airway, and neurological communication disorders, makes her a tremendous asset to our patients and community.

We are thrilled to have Erica join the SpeechRx team as we continue to provide specialized care for adults across the Treasure Coast. ❤️

Job Summary: Join our dynamic team at SpeechRx – The Adult Speech, Swallowing & Voice Clinic of Stuart, FL, where compassion meets clinical excellence. We specialize in advanced diagnostics and treatment for adults with complex medical needs, including head & neck cancer, neurological disorders, and voice rehabilitation. Part-Time Position (2 days +/week) Flexible schedule, Collaborative, evidence-based environment.

The Ideal Candidate will:
* Demonstrate strong clinical skills in adult dysphagia, voice, and neurogenic communication disorders.
* Be comfortable performing or assisting with instrumental swallowing evaluations (FEES ).
* Exhibit excellent interpersonal communication skills and a collaborative spirit within an interdisciplinary team.
* Approach therapy with empathy, creativity, and clinical reasoning grounded in current research.
* Be detail-oriented in documentation and Medicare compliance.
* Value mentorship, continuing education, and lifelong professional growth.

Preferred Experience:
* Experience in medical speech pathology within acute care, outpatient, or long-term care settings.
* Familiarity with head and neck cancer rehabilitation, NMES, MDTP, evidence-based aphasia treatments or manual therapy for voice/swallowing.
* Strong interest in FEES, and evidence-based dysphagia management.

Big Milestone + Generous Donation

We are so excited to share a huge success story from one of our amazing patients! 💙 This patient was once completely dependent on tube feedings for all of their nutrition. Through dedicated dysphagia treatment and a lot of hard work, they are now able to eat fully by mouth and get all their nutrition that way!

In celebration of this progress, the patient generously donated their extra tube feeding nutrition supplies to our office. We are beyond grateful for this kind gift, and we are so proud of the progress they’ve made. 💪💙🌊
