Lippisch, Engebretsen and Kuhns Oral & Maxillofacial Dental Implant Surgery

Lippisch, Engebretsen and Kuhns Oral & Maxillofacial Dental Implant Surgery Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with an emphasis on Dental Implant Surgery, 3D imaging, virtual surgery and techniques resulting in successful outcomes. Drs.

Lippisch, Engebretsen and Kuhns practice a full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery with expertise including biopsies, wisdom tooth removal, dental implants, zygomatic implants, pterygoid implants, bone grafting, and sinus augmentation procedures. Together they have developed and performed numerous firsts on the Treasure Coast. First to have an AAAHC accredited facility dedicated to Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery; First to perform computer guided dental implant surgery; First to perform computer guided full mouth dental implant surgery with 3D imaging and immediate teeth placement; First to utilize specialized zygomaticus dental implants in order to avoid extensive bone grafting procedures. First to utilize Tempoary Anchoring Devices (TADS) to help orthodontists move teeth. They are one of the first to utilized growth factors to aid in healing. Even though the practice has developed into a “Reconstructive Dental Implant” practice, Drs. Lippisch, Engebretsen and Kuhns maintain a broad base of “routine” oral surgical procedures such as dental extractions, wisdom teeth removal, biopsies, dental grafting (both bone and tissue). No matter what is recommended, consultations are performed in a quiet, private room to view X-rays, photographs and review treatment recommendations. Concerns are discussed in private. If necessary, our implant treatment coordinator (ITC) is introduced, to guide you thru the process of coordinated appointments with your dentist or specialist. Throughout the development of our practice, the number one focus has always been to do the best and the right thing for our patients. Our patients are an integral part of our Team along with their restorative dentist, and other dental specialists. Sometimes, this actually results in no surgical treatment, but rather conventional dental treatment. If treatment is recommended, they are performed in one of 3 treatment rooms that are fully equipped as a hospital operating room. The practice is capable of utilizing local anesthesia, Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) or Intravenous Anesthesia (IV). All staff members are BLS certified and all Nursing staff are ACLS certified.

Are you being pulled to give this holiday season? We have a wonderful chance for you!!

In 2007, our office wanted to help someone in the community and actually know that the items/money we donated went straight to them. In order to do this, we reached out to a Pediatric Oncologist/Hematologist office that we have a close relationship with and asked them to give us a couple of families that needed assistance. Our hope was to take the stress that the holidays can bring, off of these caregivers so they can focus on what really matters, their children! Here we are, 18 years later, and we continue the tradition!

This could not be done without the help of so many of you that come together to check items off their lists! It really is such a sight to see so many wonderful people work together for a common goal.

This year we are adopting 3 local families with a total of 9 kids from the ages of 2-14.

Here's some information to let you know who we get to help this year!

Family A- has 3 children. Their 7-year-old was diagnosed with Leukemia in April 2024. They spent 1.5 months in the hospital and countless hours in treatment which was hard on them but worth it. He is now doing better and was recently able to return to school. He’s very excited because his lumbar punctures were reduced to every 3 months now! Even though he is still in treatment, Mom and Dad are optimistic because he is doing better and they are working towards some sort of normalcy. They struggled for over a year and are so thankful for our help while they work on getting back on their feet.

Family B has 4 children. Their 7-year-old was born with a very rare genetic disorder which also causes cognitive delay so, age-appropriate toys would be geared to 2-3 years old. At her 2-year-old visit, her pediatrician sent her for genetic testing which concluded her diagnosis. At that time, she had a bone marrow transplant and currently has weekly infusions of enzyme therapy. Unfortunately, the life expectancy for this rare genetic disorder is 6-10 years of age if not treated before the age of 2. This baby girl was diagnosed after 2 so doctors were reluctant to do treatment but her mother pushed and is hopeful that she can live longer than the statistic. Mom is working tirelessly to get this syndrome on the newborn screening test so families can get help prior to age two so parents won't have to fight as she has.

Family C has 2 children. At just 4-years-old, the youngest was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. Her grandmother is the provider and caretaker and is a true inspiration. Trying to keep normalcy in the house for the 13-year-old while taking weekly trips to St. Mary's all while working can not be easy on her. She was so relieved to hear we wanted to help her family.

There's a few ways you can help these families! Share this post, email our office at info@omfs.com or call Marisa at (772) 223-0600. If you would like a copy of the lists, we can send them to you. Once you have decided what you will be purchasing, we simply take that item off the list. You can also donate by cash or check made out to New Hope Fellowship and we will do the shopping for you!
