Important Medicare Deductible Update for 2026

Each year, Medicare sets the Part B deductible based on federal guidelines.

2026 Medicare Part B Deductible: $283

What this means for you:

The Medicare Part B deductible is the amount you must pay out of pocket each year before Medicare begins paying its portion for covered services. Until the deductible is met, patients are responsible for Medicare-approved charges. After it is satisfied, Medicare typically covers 80% of approved services, and any secondary insurance may help cover the remaining balance.

If you have questions about how this deductible may affect your visits, please contact our office. We are happy to help.

Why Is It So Hard to See a Rheumatologist in Stuart, FL? 🩺

We know many of our patients are feeling the impact of long wait times and limited availability when trying to get rheumatologic care. You're not alone - there’s currently a shortage of rheumatologists not just in Stuart, but nationwide.

Here’s why:

🔹 Growing Demand: Autoimmune and inflammatory conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and osteoporosis are on the rise - especially as our population ages.
🔹 Not Enough Specialists: Rheumatology is a highly specialized field, and there simply aren't enough new doctors entering the specialty to keep up with demand.
🔹 Geographic Gaps: Smaller communities like Stuart often struggle to recruit and retain specialists due to workforce shortages and high demand in larger urban areas.
🔹 Burnout and Retirement: Many experienced rheumatologists are retiring, and the workload on current providers is growing.

At Rheumatology Associates PA, we’re doing our best to meet the needs of our community - increasing staff, improving scheduling, and working hard to ensure every patient receives quality care.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this challenge together. If you're waiting for an appointment, please know we haven’t forgotten you and will contact you as soon as we can.

Thank you for trusting us with your care.

To our patients who knew and loved her, we grieve alongside you. Fran’s legacy will live on in the countless lives she impacted, and she will be deeply missed by all of us.
