"Resiliency Behind the Radio; Building Self-Care & Psychological Endurance for Dispatchers"

We are very excited to announce a new collaboration between PLEC and The Watch Wellness Group of Ludlow, MA.

State 911 Approved Behavioral Health Training. 4 Hours

Emergency dispatchers face intense, high-stakes situations every shift. They need to strengthen emotional endurance, manage job-related stress, and build sustainable self-care habits that support long-term wellness and peak performance. This practical, skills-based course, designed specifically for dispatch professionals, was created and is presented by The Watch Wellness Group. Participants will learn to recognize the unique physiological and psychological impacts of dispatch work, identify signs of cumulative stress, secondary trauma, and moral injury, and apply simple, effective self-regulation tools they can use both during and after shifts. The course also guides dispatchers in developing realistic, personalized self-care strategies, setting healthy emotional boundaries, and reinforcing their sense of purpose in the role. Through open discussion and practical exercises, this training reduces isolation by normalizing dispatcher-specific stress and encouraging healthy support systems. Build resilience. Protect your well-being. Strengthen your impact behind the headset.

Whose ready for more snow? Monday is looking like a tele-health day. There is always alot of controversy about telehealth for therapy. In the case of snow- it does not delay therapy. No need to fill up the “backpack” and hold it in tell the next session. For some people, it’s more convenient than going to the office- so they prefer it. Whatever you preference, don’t knock it til you try it with the “right” therapist. If you do not connect with your therapist in person, you won’t connect with them online and vice versa.
Stay safe and warm!
