The clients found a science experiment to try -They took popcorn kernels and dyed them. In a glass jar we added the kernels, vinegar and baking soda. We were amazed to watch the kernels "dancing" and we all agreed it was a great way to calm the mind. Afterwards in the afternoon we enjoyed the sunshine and strolled through Crossroads and got to peak into the tool shed and had someone explain some of antique tools to us.

The last part of our on going project - We filled our pinatas with scraps of paper we had been saving and we tested them out two different ways. We tried the traditional way of hanging them up with a rope and hitting them and we also tested them out with a game of hot potato and not taping the top shut. The clients took a vote and they all agreed the game of hot potato was more fun!

The concentration, time and effort this group put into making keychains for their friends and family was amazing! We took blank key chains and decorated the paper to our liking. We each added a few strings of beads to jazz them up and they turned out really nice.

Our current on going project for our group is making Pinatas. Our first step was ripping old newspapers into strips. We made the "glue" from flour and water. We each blew up a balloon and dipped the strips of newspaper into our glue mixture and than laid the strips onto our balloons. Before we can move onto the next step we will let them dry overnight.
