February is Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) Awareness Month.

AMD is a progressive disease of the macula - an area of the retina responsible for central vision. It is diagnosed and monitored through dilated eye exams and performing scans like an OCT. Lifestyle changes such as supplementation use and 100% UV-blocking glasses can slow down progression of AMD. 😎
