A donation of size medium men's incontinence products was just brought to the Neighbor to Neighbor Office. I know people have been in need and we haven't had many in, so if you are need of size medium men's incontinence products, call the office at 920.743.7800, and you can pick them up at the office.

With the possibility of a SNAP benefit freeze, many will rely on local pantries for food. If you rely on SNAP, please make a plan to secure food. If you are able, please donate to our local pantries.

In addition to our local food pantries, there are other resources for those in need of food. Those would include the nation-wide website and phone line by United Way. Access it by calling 211 or at the website 211.org. You let them know which state, county, and city and what you are looking for...food assistance, food pantries, or whatever you might need help with and the resources available for that area should be provided. Share this information with your loved ones throughout the country so they can reach out for help also. Another resource would be the flash food app, which I know includes Meijer on Shawano Avenue in Green Bay. Meijer and Kroger chains are part of this, but not necessarily each store within that chain. Check this out online at https://flashfood.com. You can get food that is nearing the Best By dates at drastically reduced prices. I don't believe the Sturgeon Bay Pick N Save is on the list, but you can also request that other stores within those chains be added. It wouldn't hurt to go to the website or app and request that Sturgeon Bay Pick N Save be added. Maybe if there is enough interest, Kroger might consider adding that store. I hope this helps. Please share so that as many people as possible can access this information. Thanks.

Due to the rolling road closures today, August 14th, because of the Clydesdale Delivery tour, the Neighbor to Neighbor office will close at 3:30 p.m. Access to our office and the roads to our office will be hampered at two different points with the deliveries to the Door County Fire Company and to the Red Room. I am sorry for any inconvenience. If you need to come to the Neighbor to Neighbor office today, please do so prior to the time of the Clydesdale Delivery tour. Thanks for your cooperation.

Neighbor to Neighbor celebrated our organization's achievements at our annual meeting held on July 28, 2025. 1,860 individuals were served in 2024. 56 volunteers shared 1,452 hours with us last year. Sheila Petroni was presented with the "Lifetime of Service Award" for her volunteer service with Neighbor to Neighbor in Northern Door County since 1993. Sheila manages the Northern Door medical equipment loan program and has been in that role since the opening of that site. In addition, she has served on the board of directors since 2022, representing the Northern Door area. We appreciate Sheila and thank her for her service!
