Residents and staff had a good time at our Halloween party. Residents enjoyed seeing all the fun costumes, sipping on witches brew (punch), snacking on cookies and cupcakes, and voting for their favorite pumpkin. 🎃👻🍬

Happy Halloween! Staff participated in a pumpkin decorating contest and we've definitely got some boo-tiful creations. Residents loved watching the pumpkins arrive on the decoration table and discussing their favorites. Stay tuned for the winner! 🎃

Yesterday, we celebrated George's 100th birthday! He said that walking, having fun and watching a good ballgame is what keeps him young. Not many make it to a 100 but George definitely deserves it. Happy birthday George! 🥳🎂🎈

Thank you to the Sturgeon Bay Fire Department for our fire training. We learned about using fire extinguishers, PASS, the life expectancy of extinguishers, and the different extinguishers that are used for different fires.

The Fire Department had some good tips for the staff too! Don't turn your back on a fire, always call when there is fire, and fire on your stove can be put out by covering it. We talked about sheltering in place if an exit is blocked, fire compartments, and not using the elevators during a fire.

Staff used fire extinguishers to put out real controlled fires in the parking lot. Firefighters were present, and right beside the staff members to provide assistance. The residents enjoyed watching while staff were learning. Thank you again to the Fire Department for providing us with the knowledge to keep our community safe!
