Counseling Associates of Door County, LLC has been in operation almost 25 years (Oct. 2018). Bill is a well known psychotherapist in the community. Bill sees patients ages 3-99+. Bill has a wide variety of expertise. Bill has offered mental health services for 35+ years and has always prided himself in his great therapeutic relationship with his clients and their families. Bill is also the very proud owner of our certified therapy dog, Buddy Dawg. Buddy Dawg is a 7 year old, Australian Cattle Dog and Lab mix. He is gentle and kind. He loves to greet people when they come in. Buddy will sometimes join children and adults in session to make the environment more relaxing for the client. He puts a smile on everyone's face. The office manager is Jenni Burlo. She has been the manager for a little over one year, but has been with our company since April of 2014. Jenni will be the first person you talk to or see at our facility. She will be the one that sets up your appointments and deals with your insurance company and any questions that you may have about the therapy process or insurance costs. We also have four other therapists on staff. Pammer, MS, LPC is on staff. Her expertise is marital and women's issues. Kathy is very knowledgeable. She has background in AODA, as she was certified for a number of years. Kathy was with CADC for 11 years. She left to work for the Community Clinic and now has returned and been a part of our team for 1 year. She works with all areas of mental health as well. She will see individuals ages 16+. Mathys, MSE, NCC, LPC is another therapist on staff. Jodi sees patients with a wide realm of disorders. Jodi is EMDR certified and Trauma certified. Her client base starts as young as 3. Jodi has been with CADC for a total of 4 years. Simon J. Rabas, MSW, APSW is our post-master's intern. Simon has a great deal of experience working with troubled youth. He came to work for us after 5+years of working in Milwaukee with children of poverty, legal issues, and other mental health disorders. Simon's knowledge expands everyday and he is available for ages. We also have a staff psychologist. Michael Sayers, PhD works with our team. He offers psychological testing on Tuesday nights only. He has been with our agency since 1993.

Hi, everyone! This is William Nick (Bill). Most are aware that I closed the clinic as of June 1st, 2022. What has people confused, though is that I am still in Practice not as Counseling Associates of Door County, but as William Nick, LCSW, dba Counseling Associates of Door County, LLC. It's Just me, and of course Buddy!
The other thing that appears to be causing confusion is that I have recently been made aware that the clinic phone has not been in order, apparently for several weeks. The phone number to reach me is now 920-559-7482. This number is monitored by me several times per day, 24-7. And yes, I am now accepting new patients!

Thanks for your patience and I'm truly sorry for the confusion and inconvenience!

Counseling Associates of Door County, LLC Closing as of June 1st, 2022
Sturgeon Bay, WI (February 23, 2022)- It is with a heavy heart that Counseling Associates of Door County, LLC announces the closure of its doors, as of June 1st, 2022.
After many years of owning and operating Counseling Associates of Door County, LLC, William G. Nick, MS, LCSW has decided it’s time to semi-retire. William G. Nick, MS, LCSW will continue to see a small caseload of client individually, as well as some of our other providers. All providers will be with new facilities or working independently. If you currently see one our providers, please talk to them to see what your options are for the future. The business as a whole will no longer exist. Counseling Associates has been a part of our community for nearly 30 years and has enjoyed a great mutual relationship with the community we served. We are giving this advanced notice in hopes it allows our client time to complete treatment or transfer to another available provider with ease. We will be accepting a very limited amount of new patients during this time.

Clients will be notified directly by their therapist to help ease their transitions.

Good afternoon,

On June 1st, 2020, Simon J. Rabas MSW, LCSW will be back in the office. If you have seen him in the past he will be reaching out to you to touch base. If you would like to schedule an intake please call the office at (920)743-9554. If you do not hear from him, please reach out. Simon is willing to meet via video session, phone session, or in office. If in office is chosen, please follow the necessary guidelines in place to keep the community, office, and others safe.
