And if you look close, you can see fresh eggs.
Which means she’s settled in and doing exactly what she’s supposed to do.
Not bad for a bunch of bees that didn’t have a home a few days ago 😅🐝

Did you know bees communicate using pheromones?

These girls at the entrance aren’t twerking. They’ve got their little butts in the air and are fanning their wings to spread a pheromone that tells the rest of the swarm where the new home is.

Bees also release pheromones for alarm, orientation, and to signal their queen. 🐝

This little cutie face-planted in some henbit pollen. 🌸🐝You can see the red pollen on her head and packed in her pollen pants.

Henbit is popping up everywhere right now and it’s one of the first great food sources for bees. If you can, leave a little for them. 💚
