To our valued patients,
We want to convey our understanding of your concerns about the spread of COVID-19 and to reassure you that we are using universal precautions and following OSHA standards in order to keep our practice a controlled and healthy environment. We are having daily management meetings to follow and enact the most recent news and guidelines.
Our office will be open as scheduled, and if any changes are made, any patient with an appointment that may be affected will be notified.
This is a rapidly evolving situation, and in an attempt to comply with the CDC recommendations along with Atlantic Health System and Lifeline Medical Associates, we ask that you do not bring children to your visits, including newborns. This is to protect your children, yourself, our staff and our patients, Please limit the number of people who might accompany you to your visit to one person. Do not bring a companion who has any cold or flu-like symptoms. If you have any cold or flu-like symptoms, please call the office for options to reschedule. Also, if you have recently traveled internationally, please call the office before your visit.
For our pregnant patients, the information that has been released from the National Perinatal Organization shows that the risk of transmission to your unborn baby is very low and that even when mothers were infected, no virus has been detected in the amniotic fluid or cord blood or breastmilk. Also, pregnant women have not been shown to be more susceptible to COVID-19 or more likely to develop serious complications.
Please follow universal precautions, per the CDC guidelines at www.cdc.gov
We value the health of all of our patients and staff members and will continue to closely monitor the evolving situation and to make the necessary decisions.
As the nation's health protection agency, CDC saves lives and protects people from health, safety, and security threats.
