💙 Good Samaritan Hospital Makes a Difference! 💙

Good Samaritan Hospital, a member of WMCHealth, recently completed an employee-driven Fall Food Drive, and we’re excited to share the impact it made right here in our community.

Thanks to the generosity of our Good Samaritan Hospital team, we helped contribute to the 1,500+ food items collected across the WMCHealth network to support individuals and families facing food insecurity.

This November, employees at Good Samaritan Hospital donated non-perishable foods and essential supplies. All contributions from our hospital were delivered to
People to People - Feeding Rockland's Hungry in Nanuet, supporting their vital work in providing resources, dignity, and hope to local families.

This effort reflects our ongoing commitment to caring for our Hudson Valley neighbors, both inside our hospital and throughout the community.

A heartfelt thank-you to every team member who helped make a difference! 💙🙏

At this year’s Good Samaritan Hospital's Girls Night Out fundraiser for the Center for Breast Health, Faith Selchick, DNP, RN, AGNP-BC, AOCNP, OCN, Assistant Vice President of Cancer Services for the Western Region of WMCHealth, made an extraordinary gift to our community: a new Victory Bell for the oncology infusion center.

Faith was recently named the recipient of the Third Annual Cancer Nursing Today CARE Award from Cancer Nursing Today. A prestigious recognition awarded to one recipient nationally. With the funds from her award, Faith purchased the Victory Bell to bring joy to patients recovering from cancer. The Victory Bell is a powerful symbol in oncology. Patients ring it to mark the completion of treatment, celebrate strength, and honor the journey they’ve overcome. Each ring echoes hope, resilience, and the start of a new chapter.

Faith dedicated the bell to her nominator, Sushil Bhardwaj, MD, FACP, honoring his decades of leadership and compassion at the Bobbi Lewis Cancer Program and Good Samaritan Hospital.

During a heartfelt ceremony led by Andrew T. Pickens, MD, JD, MBA, Executive Director, Senior Vice President, and Chief Medical Officer for the Western Region of WMCHealth, Faith shared powerful reflections on survivorship, resilience, and the incredible strength of the patients she has cared for throughout her career.

✨Girls' Night Out at Good Samaritan Hospital✨

We recently celebrated one of the most inspiring traditions at Good Samaritan Hospital (GSH), a member of WMCHealth — our annual Girls' Night Out, honoring our patients and survivors of breast cancer. 💕

The night featured a moving fashion show where local designers’ creations were modeled by our incredible patients. The room was filled with hope, gratitude, and optimism — a true celebration of strength and survivorship.

This year’s event included a special dedication by Faith Selchick, AVP for Cancer Services, who recently received a national nursing award. With the monetary gift from her award, Faith purchased the hospital’s new “Victory Bell”, which patients will ring to mark the completion of their care. She dedicated the bell to Dr. Sushil Bhardwaj, founder of the GSH Cancer Center, who was also in attendance.

We were proud to welcome many members of our care team and community, including Dr. Toan Nguyen, Dr. Vaishali Purohit, Dr. Karen Karsif, and several Board Members, all joining to honor our patients’ journeys.

💗 A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this night possible — and to our survivors who continue to inspire us all.
