Here’s the current update on the Community Electric Angel Tree. We are accepting donations at Parr Funeral Home as well until December 5th.

Angel Tree Update! ... We're a little more than $1,000 on our way to our goal of $5,000 to assist member-owners in financial need this holiday season. The deadline for donating to this worthy cause is December 5th, so please help out if you can. You'll find full details on our website at the link below; this is your opportunity to be a blessing to a fellow CEC member by making a donation that will be paid directly to help lower their electric bill. We have an Angel Tree placed in our headquarters with ornaments that correspond to specific members who need our help. Right off the bat, we know of 20 families with a combined need of more than $4,000. Let's all do our part and exceed that amount for them and for others who are navigating tough times financially and otherwise. We know you'll answer the call. Thank you!

Grief feels especially tender during the holidays. And each of our hearts will need different things from us as we process and navigate the difficult terrain of loss.

Some may feel ready to start new traditions. Some may want to carry on old traditions in honor of those they’ve lost. Others may need to press pause and step away from their usual holiday routines.

But, I am comforted by the fact that there is no right or wrong way to express our grief during the holiday.

What is best for each heart will vary, and what is best for our own hurting heart one year may change the next. The process shifts and evolves as we continue to navigate the tension of honoring great love and great loss.

My hope for each of us is that we can be gentle with our hurting hearts as we learn what helps our processing and as we adjust to grief’s demands each and every day.
