Nansemond-Suffolk Volunteer Rescue Squad

Nansemond-Suffolk Volunteer Rescue Squad NSVRS is a volunteer emergency medical services (EMS) agency located in the heart of downtown Suffolk, Virginia.

Charted in 1960, the Nansemond-Suffolk Volunteer Rescue Squad has grown from one ambulance housed in the back of an old auto repair shop, to a modern state of the art Emergency Medical Services agency.

Thank you to all the amazing volunteers who came out today and helped with the organization, preservation and building cleanup this afternoon. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and to hear all the great stories about our organization’s history and the people that made Nansemond Suffolk Volunteer Rescue Squad so very special.
