* Why it works: you will teach your child that they will not get out of it because you will follow through every time. This will automatically increase their compliance over time.
It helps to remember that increasing your child's compliance is a marathon, not a sprint. 🏃

⭐️ I recommend not looking back because your child may be having a meltdown for your attention.

You've already given them tons of attention on the way there and during your drop-off, so try to remember that it's okay for them to feel sad. They are resilient and will redirect in no time.

If you look back , it is a form of attention and will teach your child that a meltdown will work to get you to look at them. This will, in turn, make the meltdowns keep happening.

I know it's so hard! I recommend staying strong and consistent if your biggest priority is to help your child learn to transition so that they can have fun with friends! 💙

Make your parenting more peaceful by changing up the way you phrase things for transitions. ✨

*Why it works: You're adding elements to the activity to add interest and redirecting their attention to something they like that they can do while they do something that isn't always fun for them.
