By popular demand, our Summer Theme Weeks are returning—and we could not be more excited! 🙌

Get ready for a summer full of creativity, movement, and FUN with themes like 🍋 Lemonade Week, 🦸‍♂️ Superhero Week, 🍕 Pizza Week, 🚀 Space Week, 🎮 Super Mario Week, and MORE!

✨ This is the time of year when Ms. Karen goes into full creative mode—bringing ALL the energy, ALL the ideas, and maybe just a little bit of chaos (the fun kind 😉).

👩‍🎓 We’re also so excited to welcome our summer interns, who will be helping make each week extra special for your kiddos!

From sensory bins to themed crafts, interactive play stands, and engaging speech + myo activities… your kids won’t even realize how much they’re learning because they’ll be having SO much fun. 💬💛

We truly can’t wait to kick off another unforgettable summer with all of you!

Ms. Karen recently completed a TMJ course with Sandraluz Gonzalez through The Breathe Institute—an organization known for providing research-based, high-quality education.

Full circle moment ✨

12 years ago, I attended my first course with Mary Billings and Patty Fisher, and Dianah Davidson (now retired)—and it truly became part of my foundation as a clinician. Last week, I had the opportunity to learn from them again…right here in my own backyard in Sugar Land 💛

I’m so grateful for the chance to revisit and deepen the concepts that shaped so much of how I practice today. There’s something really special about coming back to your roots with new perspective and experience.

Even more meaningful was sharing this experience with Emily—my longtime friend from University of Texas days. We went through grad school and our CFY together, two other settings after that (!), and it felt like no time had passed.

I also had the pleasure of connecting with so many incredible SLPs from all over the U.S.—always inspiring to be surrounded by clinicians who are passionate about learning and growing.

Feeling refreshed, grounded, and so appreciative of this work and this community 🤍

🏃‍♀️✨ Post-Run Stretch with Ms. Karen & Rise Running ✨🧘‍♀️

This week, Ms. Karen led a post run/walk stretch session with the incredible Rise Running group—and this is just the beginning! 💪💙
👉 She’ll be leading these stretch sessions weekly, focusing on recovery, mobility, and yoga-style breathing to help calm the nervous system and support overall performance.

Fitness is important to her, but so is rest and recovery, especially after big milestones like the Houston Marathon and Aramco Half. Stretching and intentional breathing help keep runners feeling strong, balanced, and injury-free 🦵✨

You can find Ms. Karen running a few times a week in Sugar Land with this supportive community—showing that taking care of your body after the run is just as important as the miles themselves.

🚧Upcoming Construction one week from today! Texas Department of Transportation will close US 90A East and Westbound at SH 99 and SH 99 North and Southbound frontage road at US 90A, beginning Tuesday, September 9 at 9 PM, nightly, through the end of October, to place bridge beams and prepare the proposed bridge.

Officers will be present at key intersections to oversee traffic. Please be mindful of work crews, follow the designated detour routes, and expect traffic delays. Avoid the area when possible.

Visit its.sugarlandtx.gov for current traffic conditions in Sugar Land.

🎉👋 Goodbye & Good Luck, Ms. Emily! 🐾🧃🎃🦈🍄🏈✨

This summer was packed with unforgettable memories, and we couldn’t have done it without the amazing Ms. Emily! From making s’mores during Camping Week, serving smiles at Lemonade Week, casting spells during Summerween, swimming through Shark Week, collecting coins in Super Mario Week, scoring big in Sports Week, and bringing the sparkle to Superhero & Sparkles Week — Emily did it ALL with heart, creativity, and a whole lot of love for our kids. 💛

Now it’s time to LEVEL UP! 🎓 Emily is heading back to Lubbock to continue her journey in Speech Pathology at Texas Tech. We’re SO proud of her and grateful for the time she shared with us.

🫶 Thank you for being such a bright part of our summer, Ms. Emily. Your kindness, hard work, and laughter will be missed by every single camper (and adult!) here. 💬💕

🍋💛 Lemonade Week was sweet and full of speech magic! 💬✨

We mixed up all kinds of fun:
🍋 Made our own lemonade
🧃 Practiced social skills by ordering from the lemonade stand
💪 Squeezed lemons to build fine motor strength
🌈 Made fizzy lemonade slime
🎲 Played Lemonade Bingo while targeting speech & language goals!

Our clinic was full of smiles, sticky fingers, and lots of summer speech success. Thanks for making it zest-tastic! 💛
