Last week, our residents and staff celebrated Mardi Gras in true festive fashion at Sugar Land Health Care Center.

We celebrated with a lively midday parade filled with music that marched through all the hallways. Residents and team members from different departments joined in the fun, showing off beads, smiles, and plenty of Mardi Gras spirit.

Throughout the day, everyone enjoyed fresh waffles and traditional King Cake, spreading a little extra sweetness across the facility.

Thank you to our amazing residents and staff for making this celebration so special. Moments like these remind us that life is meant to be celebrated at every age.

Yesterday, we rang in the New Year with fun, laughter, and great company as residents and staff came together to celebrate. The day was filled with delicious tacos, exciting games, and plenty of smiles at the photo booths.

It was wonderful to see everyone participating and enjoying the festivities as we reflected on the year behind us and looked ahead with hope and joy.

It’s that time of year we come together and celebrate! We had a wonderful time making memories with our residents and their families. We had special performances by our Administrator and her sweet family, along with a special visit from Santa himself.

Our residents had a waffle breakfast with all the toppings and received special Christmas gifts.

One of the special gifts that were given to all the ladies was crocheted blankets donated by the late Leeila Fern Cheatham. Leeila was a sweet soul who loved her family and enjoyed life to its fullest and will be remembered for her kind heart for others.

This past weekend, we were thankful to gather with our residents and their families for a warm and joyful Thanksgiving celebration. The afternoon was filled with delicious pie, fresh coffee, and meaningful time spent together.

Residents enjoyed live music, dancing, and a heartfelt poem read by one of our own residents, creating special moments for everyone in attendance. We also welcomed a festive Thanksgiving turkey who brought plenty of smiles and photo opportunities.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our residents, families, and staff for making this event memorable. We are grateful for the opportunity to share time, laughter, and companionship with all who joined us.

Yesterday, we held a special program to honor our veterans. One of our veteran residents led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Poems were read, and we took time to reflect on the service and sacrifice of those who served.

We also recognized our resident and staff veterans with a certificate of gratitude and a flower to thank them for their service.
