Starting birth control pills? Here’s how to take them correctly 👇

1. Take one pill every day
✔️ Same time daily = best effectiveness
✔️ Set an alarm if needed

2. Know your pack
👉 Most packs = 21 active pills + 7 placebo pills
👉 You’ll have a “period” during the placebo week

3. Starting your pack
✔️ Day 1 start = start on first day of your period (no backup needed)
✔️ Sunday/quick start = use backup contraception for 7 days

4. Missed a pill?
👉 Take it as soon as you remember
👉 Take the next pill at your usual time (even if that’s 2 in one day)
👉 If you miss 2+ pills → "make up" one pill per day and use backup

5. Want to skip your period?
✔️ Skip placebo pills and start a new pack

Bottom line:
Consistency is everything. Take it daily, same time—and it works very well. 💛
